Miek Harbur
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Miek serves as the Company’s General Counsel and Secretary and joined the Company in January 2016. In addition to acting as a key advisor to the other members of the executive team and the Board, Miek oversees all aspects of the Company’s legal and risk management functions. She combines her legal experience with her knowledge of the Company’s operations and strategy to provide pragmatic business solutions to complex issues.
Prior to New Home, Miek was a corporate attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP where she served as corporate counsel to a variety of public and private companies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities law matters, securities offerings and general corporate advice. She received her Juris Doctor degree from University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta. During law school, Miek interned for the Honorable Milan D. Smith, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
