Orchard Park Opens Welcome Pavilion to Meet Growing Demand from Silicon Valley New-Home Shoppers
Orchard Park, a thoughtfully designed community of 239 homes in San Jose, will launch sales this summer.

In response to a tremendous amount of interest from those looking for a new home in the Silicon Valley, The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) today opened a Welcome Pavilion at Orchard Park, the master-planned community of 239 homes taking shape in the Berryessa District of San Jose.

NEW HOME will debut model homes and begin the first phase of sales at Orchard Park this summer. The community is located near the intersection of Old Oakland Road and East Brokaw Road, two miles east of San Jose International Airport and is in close proximity to the coming Berryessa BART station. Orchard Park will include three neighborhoods comprised of three home types: Flats, Towns and Court homes. The homes are expected to be priced from the $700,000s. The community plan also includes numerous parks and open spaces, promenade and a resident’s clubhouse.

In what is believed to be unique to a new-home community in San Jose, NEW HOME worked with a feng shui master to consult on the land plan to make sure the site was maximized for a true north orientation and other important principles.

“As the technology industry continues to explode in the Silicon Valley, the need for more new homes that meet this region’s progressive architectural standards and desire for thoughtfully planned community design is imperative,” said Kevin Carson, president of NEW HOME Northern California. “The overwhelming amount of interest we have already received in Orchard Park, well before our model grand opening, is validation that we are doing our part to meet this strong demand. We’ve worked hard to create floor-plan designs that will fit the various lifestyles of today’s buyers.

“In addition, we are thrilled to become an integral component of the North San Jose Development Plan,” said Carson. “Our innovative design approach for the new homes at Orchard Park will nicely complement the retail development being built in the area and we expect to have great success here.”

At the now open Orchard Park Welcome Pavilion, those interested in a new home will have the opportunity to meet NEW HOME’s sales team and view interactive presentations of the homes and community amenities. In addition to the 239 homes, Orchard Park will also include a dedicated one-acre park as well as a two-acre riparian path developed as an extension of the San Jose Coyote Creek Trail. The community will feature recreational amenities such as a bocce ball court and a community room with outdoor seating and dining.

“I want to thank The New Home Company for making a significant investment in San Jose,” Mayor Chuck Reed said. “Orchard Park has generated hundreds of construction jobs and new homes for our region’s growing workforce.”
