A Model Home Grand Opening for Gala, a neighborhood of 120 flats and the last for-sale homes to be built in California’s first farm-to-table new-home community, is set for November 10, 2018.

DAVIS, Calif. (November 1, 2018) – The New Home Company (NEW HOME; NYSE: NWHM) has announced the opening of Gala, the final collection of for-sale residences at The Cannery, California’s first farm-to-table new-home community, in Davis, California. Highlighted by single-level layouts with semi-private elevator access, Gala suits a variety of lifestyles from young couples and local professionals to empty nesters looking for a turn-key, low-maintenance home in a vibrant setting. A public Grand Opening and debut of model homes is set for November 10, 2018. Gala’s pre-opening sales campaign has already secured 26 homebuyers to date.

Built by NEW HOME and designed by Robert Hidey Architects, Gala offers a variety of floorplans ranging from 1,191 to 1,995 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two to two and one-half baths. Each residence features a private deck and offers direct access to a ground floor garage. Gala is situated in two of the most desirable areas of The Cannery with 48 of the flats set within the southwestern part of the community along The Cannery Loop Trail. The remaining residences are found in the southern part of The Cannery, near The Amphitheatre and Market Park. Prices at Gala begin in the mid-$400,000s.

“Gala represents the final chapter of what has been an incredible story for us at The Cannery, a community that has earned international media attention and top homebuilding industry awards for its thoughtful land plan and mix of residential offerings,” said Kevin Carson, Northern California President for NEW HOME. “From a design and price standpoint, there is nothing else like Gala in Davis and this is a product type that the market has been waiting for. We could not be more pleased with the initial sales success at Gala and expect it to continue after our highly anticipated Grand Opening.”

Since opening in the summer of 2015, more than 300 of the planned 457 for-sale residences have been sold at The Cannery. Three of the original neighborhoods—Heirloom by NEW HOME, Persimmon by Shea Homes and Beech by CalAtlantic Homes—are sold out. Sage by NEW HOME, a neighborhood of 73 Park Homes ranging from 1,943 to 3,702 square feet with up to six bedrooms and five baths, is nearing sell out with just three homes remaining. Sage is priced from the high $700,000s to the $1.2 millions.

Tilton by Shea Homes will soon release its final phase of Cottages that showcase up to five bedrooms and three baths, ranging from 1,706 to 3,024 square feet. Tilton is priced from the mid-$800,000s.
